I actually have a few more pictures of this bird I found on the internet about 6 months ago. Different angles. I should see if I can post em.

Wow, Jennifer. Thanks for posting these. This guy nearly takes my breath away. I think I'll be coming back regularly just to look at him!

I do dabble a little in Photoshop, but I by far am not an expert. I would say that this guy is for real! The three pics I have are just too consistant. I have always wondered myself what variety he is. I just always assumed he was a pied who ended up with the most unusual pattern. Would love to see what he looks like with his tail fully matured!

Wish he was wondering in my backyard! Laughing

The background looks like a zoo or park setting (fence, water pool). Is there any way to find out where this guy is so we could drool over some more recent photos?

I will scour the internet again and see if I can find where I got them. Maybe then we can inquire about him further!

OK...I found them! I got those pics from Flikr. Here is the person who's album they are in...maybe somebody could contact them and inquire further about him! The peacock is under the "My Favorites" album.

Enjoy!

great detective work, thank you! Can't wait to check that album out when I have a moment.
I'm not sure but, looking at the legs of that bird makes me think perhaps he's an older bird.

Okay, from Flickr.com, we know that these pics were taken at Featherpark in Sydney, New South Wales in May 2008. Gosh, we need to find someone there to send us more photos! I honestly want to frame one of these. Does anyone know someone in Sydney?

I wrote and asked him if he had anymore information about the bird and his owners. Hope he doesn't think that I am nutz! Not that I am not nutz about peacocks!

OK...how much do you guys love me? Well...I know you do...ok, maybe not

BUT

check this out!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmflynn/2120695383/sizes/l/in/pool-566264@N24/

That absolutely has to be the same bird! and there are many more photos of him in the flickr group White Peacocks Pure and Simple. I just discovered today that there was more than one peacock group going on Flickr...and there he was!

The more I look through the group's pictures, the more I find of him and there are many different photographers. He is in a park somewhere outside the US and seems to be popular - go figure!

Oh Jennifer, you know we adore you. And Dick Tracy is no detective compared to you. Love the pics, and thank you for investigating.

Also, here's a guy that belongs to George and Sonja Conner. Another very unusual pattern. Scroll down to the last photo, and I'll bet he makes you say "oooooh".
