HI, ANYONE FROM LOUISIANA (OR I GUESS ANY OF THE SOUTHERN STATES) OUT THERE? WE ARE GETTING THE AWFUL NEWS OF HURRICANE GUSTAV HITTING YOUR STATE TONIGHT ON UK TV Sad LOVE AND BEST WISHES TO YOU, YOUR FAMILIES, HOMES, BIRDS AND ANIMALS FROM ALL OF US IN THE UK.

You ladies are just too sweet. I can't imagine evacuating 2 million people. About 1400 Louisiana residents have been brought to Louisville KY, where locals are showering them with support. Many other cities are also hosting large groups of evacuees. Could you imagine what it would have been like 50 years ago, before a storm of this magnitude could have been forecast? Makes me shudder.

I've also experienced hurricanes before and I don't enjoy it. I guess we're really not happy whenever we have hurricanes. Lots of properties get damaged.

My fear is that, since the Gulf oil spill, any hurricane that passes through Louisiana will cause twice as much damage. I read on the news that the oil spill is already causing bigger stress than Katrina. Dental Milpitas

You have no idea! We really lucked out with Tropical Storm Bonnie already this year but I'm sure theres gonna be another Katrina thats gonna blow on thru this year. God have mercy on us all here in Southern La. Oil is still coming ashore so were a long long way from recovery Evil or Very Mad
