A peacock often lowers his head and shakes it as a way of communicating.
Or he may just be trying to shake off gnats. _________________ friendly poultry orthopedist |

My 4 year old white male shakes his head at me all the time. Usually its when I am giving him something to eat...kind of like a child. Sometimes, all I have to do is turn the piece of food around and then he eats it.
Silly bird!
I am constantly observing my birds for any kinds of signs of illness because once you can see it, you don't have much time, especially when they are chicks. _________________ Peachick Grammie

My male peacock , was just released free range, been doing great browsing and coming to shed every night for the last two weeks now he wants to lay around and sit the last couple days my young birds are doing fine. and i fretting for nothing? The weather hear just went from 90 plus down to the 60s, could the temp change have something involved. My chicks are extra active
Thanks Phil |
