You can use Google Translate but his website and the green peafowl forum has an English option. I was able to join it then set it to English. When they post things they normally post it in English and German and then you can copy and paste stuff into google translate that is not in English. You can somewhat get the idea of what they are saying by doing that. Wink

Hello,

here a short information about the actual situation. The breeding season is over and finally I was able to breed two imperator chicks. Unfortunately the two year old males were not fertilizing this year. The hens were laying many eggs but I had only two fertilized eggs.

Finally the first milestone is done. The first chicks with in the stud-book are bred. In the meantime a send feather sample for DNA sexing and the result is I got two hens.

Regards
Reinhold

The pups are slowly changing adult roosters.
The animals are now in the middle of the moult, at the neck of the rooster you can see very well which feathers are already changed. The dull gray-green feathers are not changed yet.

This is the first hatched hen under the control of the studbook.
On the pictures she is exact 99 days old.
Both hens are growing well.

I like the bamboo down the side of your aviary!
Those young peahens are already looking very pretty.

Head and face details of the imported Imperator males from Thailand. In the face you can see that the yellow mark of the males in the third year is in general smaller compared to the males in the second year.
The males on the first three pics are in the third year form pic 4 the males are in the second year.
The crest length is not importuned because on the pictures they are in moult and will change within the next weeks.

1. First row
Cäsar, drei Jahre, three years / Apollo, drei Jahre, three years / Sepl, drei Jahre, three years

2. Second row
Fritz, zwei Jahre, two years / Rambo, zwei Jahre, two years / Rocky, zwei Jahre, two years
