Some of you won't remember the Kilroy cartoons (graffiti) from the 1950s and 1960s, but Big Bird reminds me of that cartoon.

Yesterday, he had one crest feather left. Today it molted.
Now he's a bald 15-year-old who will get his beak trimmed at the end of the month.


When he knew I was going to leave the aviary, this is what I got...


This is one of the reasons I fell in love with peafowl.
