I am going to purchase materials to build a brooder box on Saturday. I have read different things about the size of the mesh flooring to use. 1/2", 3/4"...some for chickens and quail. But I never found a site that recomended the proper size for peafowl babies. What is recommended?

Thanks!

I have the same question. I have been looking in the FarmTek catalog at their poultry grading and considering it. I'm not sure where I would go to purchase grading of various sizes, hardware store? Home Depot?

I'm partial to the hardware cloth, 1/2". It's sturdy, easy to disinfect and easy to find. Hardware stores and other home stores carry it.
