I'm Jadyn from Idaho. I have a pair IB adults, 7 IB peachicks that just hatched out, a trio White peafowl, 1 Spalding Split to White or Pied peahen, and 1 Black Shoulder peahen. I'm a freshmen in college, going to South Dakota State University, go Jackrabbits! I'm hoping to become a veterinarian. Once I become a vet I'm going to get a lot more peafowl. My dream peafowl farm is to have 3 trios per variety. I hope to be breeding IB, BS, White, Pied, Silver Pied, Cameo, Peach, Purple, Bronze, Charcoal, Opal, Taupe, Violeta, and Pavo muticus muticus. So I hope to have 126 breeding peafowl someday. |

WOW! You have a lot of ambition. I wish you great success with all of it!!
Big dreams about the peafowl, but dreams worth working on.
About half of what you said went over my head. LOL
But I will learn, I WANT to learn.
Colors seem pretty hard to understand let alone understand the genetics it takes to make them.
I learned the genetics of the Silkies and was very successful with the Lavender color as well as the Paint.
Currently I am raising Ameraucana bantam with the blue gene, having success and raising some lovely gold/blues.
Looking forward to visiting with everyone here. |
