Hello from Oklahoma. My name is Cheryl I live in south central OK.
I have raised many different kinds of poultry and I guess my favorite is the Peafowl.
I have been raising Silkie chickens since 1975 and currently have a small flock of bantam Cochins and a flock of bantam Ameraucana.
A friend gave me some peafowl eggs and I gave them to a Silkie cross hen, she hatched three cute chicks, which are two months old now. They live with the chickens and a small group of wild Rio Grande turkeys that were also hatched beneath a chicken [Cochin]
I'd like to keep the peafowl and raise some more, I have lots of questions about breeding and housing. Right now I just want to say thank you for this forum and say it is a blessing to have so many friendly informative folks to fellowship with. |
