My peahen has an open wound on her wing that she keeps pecking at. Does any one know if "Bitter Yuck" that is used on dogs to stop licking will stop a bird from pecking? Thanks

I have never heard of "Bitter Yuck" but I have had plenty of experience with injured
wings and legs. I would suggest covering the spot with duck (duct) tape. Last year
Everest, my best white spalding peacock, had a compound fracture three inches from the
tip of his left wing. I put some antibiotic ointment on the open wound. Then when the
method for taping broken wings was used he could not get at the wound which was on
under side. Everest healed quickly and is as mean as ever
