I just got a pea chick a couple months ago and raised it in a parrot cage and then put outside in his/her own cage. He/she is about 3 months old and growing REAL fast.

I got the bird because we live in snake country and pea fowl a supposed to eat them! Things have changed a bit as we have really become attached to the bird. We have twenty or so other birds- chickens, runner ducks, and guineas- but this pea fowl is really smart! It comes to you when called and takes walks with us and our dogs- even plays with the dogs!

Don't believe me! Check out "That'll Do Bird" on youtube. I have uploaded a bunch of pictures of the bird on "lynnranch.org" and would like to see if any of you experts can tell if it is a male or female. We renamed it, "Big Bird" to avoid having to change the name later....
