Are there any broken bone specialists that could offer help, suggestions, treatment options, and/or experiances? We have a 5 month old pea baby who somehow pulled the two lower arm bones away from the socket at the wrist...not any broken bones that we can see, just disconnected from the joint and protruding from the wing skin.
Cindy&daylon Thank you VERY much

I would suggest an avain specialist in your area. Vets- and especially "specialists"- are
not a cheap way to go but you can google
"avian vets" in NC and come up with some vets in your area.
NC State has a great vet school and may could help.
In the meantime, I would try and see HOW AND WHY your bird could have done this?
Anything in the coop she could've got her legs caught in/on?
If she's free ranging, it's anyone's guess as to how it happened.
Please know vitamin B " COMPLEX" may could help here, if the bones are not indeed broken and IF the problem is caught early enough. |
