Ok, I am just confused, I read somewhere that all BS Hens will show there true color in there neck area.

I have a BS Hen that is split to Pied ( Picture in post ) She only has brown on back of her neck and a small amount at that. I think she is a IBBS Hen Split to Pied.

I Got a New BS Hen today that looks like the one in the Pic but has a Greenish/Blueish Neck and a slight bit going down her back between the wings/Upper shoulder area.

Just wondering how there color should be.

I'll try and snap pic;s of the new female when I have a few Min.

Thanks

Hi Joe, I'm not an expert and I would really need to see a pic to know for sure if your hen is BS. I can tell you that I have had many BS, and I currently have 4 BS hens, each hen is different, some have almost no green/blue on the back of the neck and some have quite a lot, one of mine actually has so much it extends down into her shoulder feathers, her mom has very little, her neck is more of a rusty brown.

I can't post pic's to this site, I 'll try and take some this weekend, and maybe use Photo bucket to post them.

I did look today she does have some brown on the neck also.
